What Does the following CT Scan Report Indicate?

Hello, my 6 year kid was taken to ENT doc as she breathes through her mouth. After CT scan was done, doc has advised for adenoid surgery as her adenoid is quite large so air passage has become less. Kindly advise what precautions to take as I am still not clear whether surgery is a good idea.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, surgery is indicated in his case.
Enlarged adenoids in children are the indication for surgical removal. They cause obstruction to the air passage from the nose.
So child has to breath from mouth.
There is no medicine to release this obstruction.
So surgical removal is the only option in his case.
Surgery for adenoids is simple and day care procedure. So don't afraid of surgery.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your son. Thanks.
